History

Jim Sebastian began his experience in the golf cart industry back in 1970 in Wharton, Texas. When he and his wife Carolyn moved to Conroe in 1975, they opened the doors to Conroe Golf Cars, a move that would keep them and others occupied for the next thirty years. With a consistent focus on customer service, CGC steadily grew to add more features, more services and our sister store Golf Cars of Conroe as an authorized Club Car Dealer. Whether its E-Z-GO, Club Car, or Cushman, we have the vehicles, the parts, and the people to serve you.

With over thirty years experience in the cart business, CGC has established a solid presence within the extended golf and business community throughout southeast Texas. Jim passed on a few years ago but Carolyn, and their son John still carry the vision. They are accompanied by a dedicated support staff and a team of certified factory-trained specialists.

CGC Staff

John Sebastian is the General Manager of Conroe Golf Cars. Like his parents, John recognizes the importance of quality control for assuring the best products and the best service in the industry. In addition to managing the company's day-to-day functions, John is responsible for oversight of all ordering, shipping, accounting and long-range planning activity. He and his wife Gwyn are residents of Conroe, where they participate in a number of local community activities.

Sales Manager Curt Maddux directs all of the sales and marketing activity at Conroe Golf Cars. His experience in management and sales, coupled with his commitment to quality and dedication to customer service, have proven invaluable to the company since joining CGC in 1992. Curt is also in charge of our large leasing operations serving golf and business clients throughout Southeast Texas.

Operations Manager Brant James heads up an extensive Service and Parts operation with a talented pool of highly-qualified technicians within the CGC service department. Factory-certified and experienced in all aspects of golf cart and industrial vehicle troubleshooting, Brant enjoys working with customers to discuss the symptoms, explain the causes, and offer the most affordable solution available.

Though semi-retired, Carolyn Sebastian continues to be an important presence in the company, working behind the scenes doing anything and everything to assure smooth operation in all departments.
